The Best Intentions

I already made a mistake. On Monday, just after my post about building out, I started right away building out my next thing- which was to create a tandem blog post and work on my notes about Markdown. I had this grand idea where I would put the argument for the note in a blog post, but put the relevant bits in the note itself. The problem is that in doing so, I put a blocker on the site. I should have been blogging about how I was thinking about this change or that.

So, what I've done is make a justification section in my note that is going to house the blog post until I'm done, then I'll copy it over into the blog too as a general announcement that I'm satisfied with said note.

Oh, one important thing! I may have said this previously, but I don't consider anything on this site ever really done. I have implemented release status (I'm not happy with the name, but I'll go with it for now). If I'm happy with a note, I'll give it some sort of positive release status. If it's still under development, it'll say so.

My thoughts are right now that I want to build out a few what I consider key notes- things that I wish I had known. They are somewhat boring, but honestly that's how foundation stuff goes. Drawing from the analogy of construction, Nobody likes talking about grading, plumbing, electrical, or structure, but doing those things well has a very strong correlation to the success of the house.

On the notes front, I'm starting to second guess my sections on Books and People. I suppose it's possible to need those sections in the future, but I really see those as references on other summary efforts for now. I'm not clear yet.
