Absence
I took a break. I wish I had some profound reason to do so, or some great urge that drove me to come back, but I didn't really. I am nearing the end of a tough book that I want to document, so I guess I had it on my mind, but generally speaking, I guess it felt like it was time to start working on this project again.
I have some ideas on what I would like to write about on the site, but I don't think I'm quite ready yet. I've been thinking a lot about my so far failed attempts at making this a zettelkasten style resource, which have completely been self inflicted. While I don't have the permanent notes started, I do see the benefit of taking notes while reading to make me more active with the material, and I hope that having these notes later will make it where I can jog my memory about a given source more quickly.
I do think that spending some time building up some other tool sections would be worthwhile. There are some solutions I have grown fond of that I would really like to share at some point. I've been somewhat hesisitant because I feel like the ones I've added so far feel very important and overlooked, but some of the other tools I use regularly are extremely popular, so my contributions to the space will be more flavor. I do think I could come up with levels in those cases, but it will take a bit of thought.
The next several posts are going to be as I build out my notes on the book The Cancer Code. I took a lot of notes, and I'm not sure if I will try to cram everything in, or I'll just try to hit the most important ideas. I have a few chapters left, so I may not get it posted until maybe this weekened, but I suspect I will have a decent amount of family obligations, so I should keep my plans loose.
As I get back into regularly writing here, I do plan on being more consistent. I wonder if it would be better to take notes directly here rather than writing them out first, but I think for now I'll still do that because of the comprehension benefits. Time will tell if I change my mind though.
