Re-Thinking, Fast and Slow - Works Cited
I knew going into this book I was going to spend some time. I don't think I appreciated that pulling together the works cited before I really even started the book was going to be as daunting as this. I haven't finished yet, I'm around chapter 21 at the moment, but this writeup is already longer than most and I haven't started my notes yet.
I still think I'm okay with doing the work. I do feel like it's a bit of a waste of time to jot this all down, but I also think that starting out books this way, but reading around the book gives me an opportunity to be aware of the concepts ahead, but more importantly it puts the names of people, books and journals in my brain to consider for further reading.
I have to remember that Danny Kahneman is a pretty important guy. He made big contributions and this book is very high up on the Pop-Psy books that get talked about a lot (I'm still suspicious how many people have actually read it versus bought, skimmed and put on the shelf to talk about). I feel like this book will have some really good insights and be a springboard off to other good readings.
My goal is to have this stage done in the next few days and then start taking notes through the book itself. I already did the introduction just as a break.
