Deliberate Reading

So putting the effort into reading this book is very interesting. The content itself is very familiar to me. Spending time in pop-psy the concepts being raised are pretty famaliar, but that leads to a real temptation to just skim. And while that would be the most efficient use of my time, that's counter to the point.

I saw a youtube video by Justin Sung talking about speed reading and comprehension in relation to academic material. I find his strategy for reading is really good. I'm going to experiement with some of his thoughts and see what happens.
